Overview

Throughout the Archdiocese, there are a variety of opportunities for catechists to receive formation for their role in the classroom and their own personal faith development. Catechist education opportunities fall into the following categories:

Programs leading to Archdiocesan awards:

• Basic One Accreditation Program
• Basic Two Accreditation Program
• Intermediate Accreditation Program
• Advanced Accreditation Program

Upon successful completion of the Basic, Intermediate, and Advanced Accreditation programs, participants are awarded the Archdiocesan Catechist Accreditation Certificate.

Please note: Catechist Ministry Certificate is currently under review

• Catechist Ministry Certificate Program

Upon successful completion of the Catechist Ministry Certificate and the Archdiocesan Catechist Accreditation Certificate, participants are awarded the Archdiocesan Catechist Ministry Certificate.

Education opportunities that deepen catechist formation:

• Archdiocesan Catechist Gatherings (held in Terms Two and Four)
• Lunch and Learn
